Participant Engagement
A unique way for corporations to become involved with First Tee is to host a corporate outing with First Tee participants at one of our three facilities. Employees interact with participants in a fun and relaxed environment while competing in several different golf skills challenges.
Corporations can also host participants at their offices. These can be customized to each company and are a great way to expose our participants to different companies, industries, and job functions, while also allowing a number of employees to engage with First Tee – San Francisco.
Volunteer Opportunities
Employees can get involved with First Tee – San Francisco through direct service with our participants. We have programming throughout the year at three different facilities in San Francisco which allows for maximum flexibility. Volunteers work directly with participants as they go through the First Tee lesson and help facilitate the lesson of that week. Although some background in golf is helpful, it is not necessary and is a great way for employees to form a meaningful relationship with our amazing participants.
Event Sponsorship
There are numerous opportunities for involvement with First Tee – San Francisco golf tournament. Held annually on Columbus Day at TPC Harding Park, it is a great day on a championship course filled with camaraderie, food, and friendship and a great way to entertain clients, meet participants, and support First Tee – San Francisco. We have a number of different sponsorship levels and can work with you to find the best fit.

Corporate Matching
Many companies have a matching gift program; you give an amount and they donate the same. All you have to do is ask… Here’s how you can double or triple your impact in your community.
- Donate… Make a cash, check or credit card donation to First Tee — San Francisco. Keep your gift receipt in case your workplace requires it. Most corporate matching programs give you up to one year to request their match on your donation.
- Search… Check with your HR department to ask if your company matches employee donations.
- Match… There are two ways to submit the matching request.
a) Download your company’s matching gift verification form using the provided link. Print it, fill it out and mail it to us.
b) If your company provides a link to their intranet, use this to log in and submit your matching gift request to them. They’ll process this and send it to us.
Once we receive your form or online request, we’ll take care of the rest. Your company will send its matching donation directly to First Tee — San Francisco and support will help twice (or even three times) as many people.
Board of Directors
We encourage any senior executives who are passionate about the mission of First Tee – San Francisco and would like to take a more active role with the organization, to consider joining our Board of Directors. Responsible for the governance, direction, and fundraising of First Tee – San Francisco, our Board of Directors consists of thirty respected and influential Bay Area men and women.

Grant Programs
First Tee – San Francisco receives many grants from corporations around the Bay Area. We have a number of different programs that have received corporate grant funding, and this is a great way to have your company financially support First Tee – San Francisco.
