Kelly Woo
Program Manager
Kelly has been part of First Tee — San Francisco for over 14 years, beginning as a 5th-grade participant in the Classroom to Clubhouse program after her class took a field trip to TPC Harding Park. That experience sparked a lasting connection, and she has been involved ever since.
She graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2023 with a degree in Psychology and began working with First Tee — San Francisco shortly after high school. Combining her passion for working with youth and her love for golf, Kelly found a natural path in continuing the impact that shaped her own life. During her time in the program, she built lasting friendships and was inspired by mentors who guided her journey.
Kelly is deeply connected to First Tee’s mission of developing Game Changers. She believes in creating opportunities for youth, especially those from underrepresented communities, to build confidence, develop respect for others, and grow into empathetic, thoughtful individuals. Her vision is to ensure the program remains accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to all.
She is passionate about creating environments where participants feel safe, supported, and comfortable being themselves. Kelly defines success through strong participant retention, confident and empowered youth, and positive experiences shared between coaches and participants. She is also committed to expanding access across all program locations and strengthening relationships with local communities through events and outreach.
As a first-generation American and first-generation college graduate, Kelly takes pride in honoring her family’s sacrifices. Outside of work, she enjoys playing golf when she can, valuing the time spent connecting with others on the course. She also loves exploring San Francisco’s coffee scene and is an aspiring at-home barista.
Kelly encourages future participants to give First Tee a try, emphasizing the welcoming community, supportive coaches, and the opportunity to grow both on and off the course.
